The Newton YMCA & Newton Parks and Recreation are teaming together for Deep Freeze Days- a weekend full of fun for the family. The event will be kicked off by a co-ed volleyball tournament on Friday, February 24. The tournament will be double elimination and games will begin at 5:30 p.m. The YMCA and Y2 facilities will both be used. The tournament is open to anyone 9th grade-adults.

Team Entry Process: A team is comprised of at least 6 and no more than 9 players. Players must be in 9th grade or older. The team captain must fill out the registration below and list the names of all team members. After all teams and rosters have been turned in, schedules will be distributed. Please include an e-mail as this is the easiest method to distribute schedules.

Games: Each match will be played best of 3 games. Rally scoring will be used. The first two games will be played to 25. If a third game is necessary, the game will be played to 15. Teams must win by 2 points. There must be at least two females on the court for each team at all times.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE – February 17, 2012 (no exceptions)

 Stocking hats will be given to each participant
 Prizes will be given to the tournament champions
