Kickboxing instructor Tiffannie Bruce will be participating in the 2012 Fight for Air Climb for the American Lung Association.

The Jack Frost 5K race is just one of many of great events taking place. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Newton 4th of July Fireworks Display. The winter weather has finally arrived in Iowa but don't let cabin fever set in. The Newton YMCA is nice and toasty, with a fresh pot of coffee this morning. We also have all our regularly scheduled classes and the pool, hot tub, track and the rest of the facility is open.
