Lifeguarding class offered in March 30-April 1
The Newton YMCA will be offering a Lifeguarding Certification course in March. The class will meet from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, and from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, April 1.
The course is required for certification through the Red Cross. Attendance at all sessions is mandatory to complete the course. Cost is $125 for members and $150 for non-members. Registration is now open and can be completed at the YMCA at 1701 S. Eighth Ave. E. in Newton.
