The Newton YMCA staff invites you to enjoy the Newton YMCA Festival of Trees which showcases the different departments at the Newton Y. The lobby is decorated with trees decorated by staff, members and volunteers.

On display are trees decorated by the Penguin Swim Team, Arts Department, Fitness Department, Childcare, a traditional Christmas tree and the YMCA Giving Tree.

As a non-profit the YMCA is in need of many things from games and puzzles for the Family Game Room to donations to redo the weight room. The YMCA Giving Tree has ornaments hanging on it with many of the needs the Y currently has.

Members of the Y and our neighbors in the community are encouraged to take an ornament off the YMCA Giving Tree and help support the YMCA. The Y’s needs are listed on the ornament, once you have the item, return it to the YMCA with the ornament you’ve selected. If you wish to support the Y but can't purchase the item yourself, simply make a donation to the YMCA and mark Giving Tree in the "memo."

The Festival of Trees will be on display from Nov. 28-Jan. 6 at the
Newton YMCA, 1701 S. Eighth Ave. E. during the Y’s operational hours.
